&lt;p&gt;Vivian Dorsel, editor/publisher of &lt;i&gt;upstreet,&lt;/i&gt; will introduce two poets from &lt;i&gt;upstreet number five,&lt;/i&gt; Lisken Van Pelt Dus and Cynthia Saunders, and will also read an excerpt from the Robin Hemley interview. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Lisken Van Pelt Dus&lt;/b&gt; teaches English and other languages at Monument Mountain Regional High School, Great Barrington, MA. Her poetry can be found in &lt;i&gt;upstreet number one and two, Conduit, Main Street Rag, The South Carolina Review, Ellipsis,&lt;/i&gt; and other journals, and has earned awards from &lt;i&gt;The Comstock Review, Atlanta Review,&lt;/i&gt; and Writing the River: the 2004 Word Street Writing Contest. Her chapbook, &lt;i&gt;Everywhere at Once,&lt;/i&gt; has just been released by Pudding House Press. She lives in Pittsfield with her husband, Bob.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Cynthia Saunders Quiñones&lt;/b&gt; been an English teacher at Wahconah Regional High School in Dalton and a writing instructor and advisory board member for Word Street, and is now Director of Education for the Barrington Stage Company. She is a board member for One Small House, a group of volunteers who travel to Mexico every year to build homes for families in need. Her work has appeared in &lt;i&gt;The Berkshire Review&lt;/i&gt; and &lt;i&gt;upstreet number one.&lt;/i&gt; She lives in North Adams with her husband, Mike. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Vivian Dorsel&lt;/b&gt;, the editor and publisher of &lt;i&gt;upstreet,&lt;/i&gt; was managing editor of &lt;i&gt;The Berkshire Review&lt;/i&gt; for eight years. She holds a BA in psychology from Williams College, an MS in Psychology from UMass/Amherst, and an MFA in Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She lives in Richmond, MA, has taught writing workshops at the Norman Rockwell Museum and the Jewish Federation of the Berkshires, and has coordinated and taught writing workshops for Word Street, Pittsfield READS! and The Big Read.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Inkberry and Papyri Books present WordPlay, this month featuring three poets from Slate Roof Press.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Poets Janet MacFadyen, Susie Patlove, and Paula Sayword will read from their work. All three poets are members of Slate Roof, a member-run press committed to publishing Franklin County poets.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Janet MacFadyen&lt;/b&gt; is author of two books of poetry, &lt;i&gt;A Newfoundland Journal &lt;/i&gt;(Killick Press, 2009) and &lt;i&gt;In Defense of Stones&lt;/i&gt; (Heatherstone Press, 1996). Her poems have appeared in &lt;i&gt;Poetry, The Atlantic Monthly, Yankee Magazine, The Atlanta Review,&lt;/i&gt; and &lt;i&gt;Rosebud.&lt;/i&gt; She is also the recipient of an Academy of American Poets Award. Janet grew up in Williamstown and now lives in Shutesbury with her husband and dog. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Susie Patlove&amp;#8217;s&lt;/b&gt; poems have been heard on NPR&amp;#8217;s A Writers Almanac. They have appeared in &lt;i&gt;The Atlanta Review, Monkscript,&lt;/i&gt; and &lt;i&gt;Sanctuary,&lt;/i&gt; and are forthcoming in Ted Kooser&amp;#8217;s national newspaper column &amp;#8220;American Life in Poetry.&amp;#8221; Her first poetry collection, &lt;i&gt;Quickening,&lt;/i&gt; was published by Slate Roof in 2007. Her work also was included in &lt;i&gt;Crossing Paths: An Anthology of Poems by Women&lt;/i&gt; (Mad River Press, 2002) Susie lives with her husband, Les, in Charlemont where they have raised three boys and countless organic vegetables.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Paula Sayword&lt;/b&gt; has been writing poetry for forty years and recently retired from working in public housing to dedicate her time to that art. Her poems have appeared in &lt;i&gt;Sanctuary Magazine,&lt;/i&gt; and she is a Poet Seat Contest winner. Her first collection, &lt;i&gt;What Sleeps Inside Us,&lt;/i&gt; is forthcoming from Slate Roof in 2010. When not dreaming of the southwest, Paula lives on a small farm in Leyden with her longtime woman partner and gardens. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Gail Burns of Williamstown will host the event for Inkberry. After the reading there will be a brief intermission, followed by the popular Wordplay open mic. Refreshments will be available. The event is free and open to the public.&lt;/p&gt;
